What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
Come On In
You will be greeted at the door by friendly people to welcome you to the church. They can help you find any place you need. As you enter the sanctuary (to your right) an usher will have a worship folder (bulletin) for you (children's bulletins are also available) that lists the order of the day's service as well as other helpful information. Feel free to wear relaxed and casual or more formal--we would just like to see you!
Nursery
We have a well-staffed and safe nursery downstairs for infants up till 3 years of age. When you drop your kids off they will get an arm band to identify them as your child, and you'll get a matching band that you'll need to pick them up after the service.
Have a Seat
Sit wherever you like in the sanctuary. There are no assigned sections. If the main floor is too full, we also have a balcony (head up the back steps).
Let's Get Rolling
At 10:30 am the band starts leading us in worship. The band will usually lead in four to six songs. If you don't know the words, we have them displayed on two large screens right up front.
Pass the Basket (giving money as worship)
We collect an offering every Sunday. Visitors, please, don't give anything--we're just glad you are here. Instead, we ask you to place a yellow guest card (an informational card located in the back of the seats) in the plate when it's passed by. There is usually music, a short video, or singing while this happens.
Children's Church
During the singing of the last song, children from ages 3 to Kindergarten will meet in the back of the sanctuary to head to Children's Church. This is a well-supervised time of teaching and learning that is more age-appropriate than what younger children would learn from the main message. However, if you'd like to keep your children with you, that's fine too!
The Message
The teaching pastor will take the platform to talk for about 35 minutes. There are notes on the screen and a listening guide insert in the worship folder, so you can follow along easily. It's helpful to bring your Bible to worship so you can get the most out of the message.
After the Service
After the service we invite anyone with further questions or a decision about their faith to head to the front of the sanctuary to speak with a pastor or church leader that will be waiting to talk or pray with you.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
We have classes for all ages at 9:00 am on every Sunday morning. These classes are to help further your understanding of the Christian faith and are a great place to go "deeper." These classes are also to meet others in a small group setting. As there is always a wide variety of topics, you can feel free to visit any of the classes and see what interests you.
