• Hello! Thanks for your interest in music at EBC. The music ministry is an exciting and vital part of our church, and one that needs many volunteers to run effectively. We currently have four main ministry opportunities that involve music. Please take some time to read the descriptions, and see where you’d like to become involved.

  Praise Team

  The praise team is made up of a large roster of volunteers that lead the congregation in worship every Sunday morning. The team is made up of singers, instrumentalists and A/V techs. We typically have 3-6 singers, a bass guitar, drums, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and piano / keyboard as well as a sound and video technician. Other instruments, such as accordion, violin, flute and auxiliary percussion are also used regularly. The band usually leads in 4-6 praise songs and 1-2 hymns every week. We highly value having a well-rehearsed and proficient band, but there is room for everyone to become involved. We practice on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (arrangements need to be made with the worship pastor to attend practice).

  The music at Emmanuel is typically contemporary Christian in sound, but we also enjoy many different styles. So you may hear Gospel, Country, Blues, A Cappella, Traditional, or all of these on any given Sunday.

• Joyful Noise Children's Choir (resumes in fall)

  The Joyful Noise Children’s Choir meets during the school year and sings in worship several times a year. There is an emphasis on a children’s Christmas program, but with the right help, we’d like to see this operate nine months a year. This is a chance for kids to have a great time and start to worship the Lord with music. For more information, contact Mechelle Rourke at 892-2442.

  Bless To Bless Again - Joyful Noise Children's Choir

  Emmanuel Baptist Church Choir (resumes in August)

  The Emmanuel Baptist Church choir meets for the nine months of the school year and sings about twice a month in church. We also lead the congregation in two large gatherings: Christmas and Good Friday. The choir is made up of about 20 singers who meet weekly (Wednesday 7-8 pm) for practice, fellowship and prayer. This is a fun group and anyone is welcome to drop in and join.

  Special Music / Offertory

  There are also opportunities for soloists and small groups to use their gifts on a weekly basis at EBC. As either a special music or during the offertory time, we look for people to fill 3 – 5 minute time slots. If making a practice time doesn’t fit in your schedule, but you still love to serve with music, this is an avenue to use your gifts.
